Dr. Amir Akhtar
Dr Akhtar is a GMC (General Medical Council) registered doctor and GOSc (General Osteopathic Council) registered Osteopath.
He gained his medical degree from the University of Sheffield in 2007 and his Osteopathy qualification from the London College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017. This course involved extensive training in Manual Therapy and traditional Osteopathic Techniques.
Dr. Akhtar’s formal medical training was in the Northwest of England and he also has extensive experience in minor injuries and primary care. He qualified as a GP in 2012 and underwent further training to qualify as an osteopath in 2017.
He has undertaken further Post Graduate training in Ultrasound Scanning, Spinal injections and Prolotherapy. He recently attended the only US based Hacket Hemwall Patterson Training program in Europe (Budapest 2019).
Musculoskeletal Pain
