MyMSK Clinic Coronavirus Update
Coronavirus
Please see below for all the Covid Secure guidelines we are following at our clinic for your safety and the safety of our staff.
Please contact us BEFORE your appointment if you or anyone in your household or support bubble becomes symptomatic or if you receive information from the NHS Covid-19 app which requires you to self isolate. We will be able to reschedule your appointment for you. It is very important for the health and safety of our staff and patients that you do not attend the clinic under these circumstances. In addition, if you are affected by overseas travel quarantine, please contact us so we can re schedule your appointment.
Cortisone injections
- Corticosteroid/cortisone injections are advised not to be administered within 2 weeks either side of a Covid Vaccine injection.
- This is based on a guideline recently published by the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance(ARMA).
- Please bear this in mind when booking an appointment and if possible let the doctor know the date of your vaccine.
Covid Secure Environment for Patients and Staff
- We have implemented social distancing practices within the clinic as per government guidelines. With this in mind, we ask that only visitors of the clinic receiving a consultation, treatment or health assessment attend the clinic. Where possible we will be limiting the use of our waiting areas. Individuals requiring care support are requested to please let us know prior to attending and we will of course facilitate this.
- Patients will be required to wear a face mask when in the clinic.
- Patients will be asked to use hand sanitiser at the entrance to the clinic. Various hand sanitiser stations will be available on the premises to encourage hand hygiene and avoid contamination
- Our staff are subject to screening protocols for signs and symptoms of COVID19.
MyMSK Clinic would respectfully request any patients or other visitors NOT to attend the clinic if you or anyone in your household is showing any symptoms of Covid-19 or has been in contact with a confirmed case. Instead, you should isolate yourself at home and follow current NHS and government guidelines.
